Amazing clone of the Star wars arcade machine, complete with Tie Fighters to battle, shooting towers on the planet surface, before flying down a trench to take out a reactor!
The game features some of the Spectrum's fastest vector graphics, with functional sound, it was a huge hit in 1984, and put Realtime on the path to huge success. They managed to better the game technically with the sequel, which unfortunately was spoiled by a too high difficulty level.
The game would find it's way onto the Enterprise computer a year later.
They would go on to produce Starglider, of which the 128K version would produce the clearest speech on the Spectrum, as well as taking Vector graphics on the system to new levels.
