C. Itoh Electronics
Chubei Itoh commenced business as a textile trader in 1858, in Osaka, Japan. C. Itoh & Co. was formed in 1914 and diversified into manufacturing and heavy engineering after the Second World War. In the early 1980s, a division of C. Itoh Electronics called CIE Terminals made clones of DEC terminals. These weren't just compatible terminals; the CIT-101 looks identical to the VT100.
The company is still going strong as ITOCHU Corporation (http://www.itochu.co.jp/en/ - English language Home page) and still lists terminals on its roster of products.
