2020 was the worst! COVID kept the museum closed for much of the year and a mains water pipe bursting causing a flood kept us closed for the rest.

Acorn Computers Ltd formed in Cambridge, UK

On 5th December 1978 Hermann Hauser, Chris Curry and Andy Hopper founded Cambridge Processor Unit Ltd, known as CPU Ltd, later they would change the name to Acorn Computers Ltd and launch the Acorn Microcomputer known as the System 1.
