Museum Preview Weekend - 8th and 9th June 2013

The Centre for Computing History would like to invite you to a special preview day in its new home in Cambridge. The Centre will be opening on Saturday 8th June and Sunday 9th June to allow the general public to view our plans for the future and interact with a selection of exhibits.

This preview weekend will also provide the opportunity to build a digital camera using the Microsoft .NET Gadgeteer system. Paul Foster and Steven Johnston from Microsoft will be coming along to the Centre to run a series of workshops. Spaces for these sessions are limited, so booking is essential.

Preview Day - Gadgeteer Session The Centre will be open from 9:30am to 4:30pm on both days. We will have an interactive display of vintage computers in our foyer and you will be able to view the main exhibition area which is undergoing refurbishment. You can even relive the 80's in our 1980's classroom, with working BBC Micros for you to try your hand at programming!

Some of the computers on display include the Acorn BBC Micro, Sinclair ZX Spectrum, Commodore 64, IBM PC, Apple Macintosh and more ...

Come and speak with the people involved in the project and find out more about our plans and aspirations for the future ...

Entry to this unique open weekend is a minimum donation of £5 per family (up to 4 people). You can pay on the door but if you would like to attend one of our .Net Gadgeteer sessions (Saturday Only) you MUST book and pay in advance.
