Paul Allen leaves Microsoft due to ill health

Paul Allen is diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma in 1982. His cancer was successfully treated by several months of radiation therapy but caused Allen to resign from Microsoft on the 18th February 1983, though he retained his seat on the board of directors.
