Originally announced in 1987, the Atari Stacy was released to the public in December 1989. It was the first portable Atari ST computer and was available in three different configurations:
The 12 C-cell batteries it was designed to run on proved to be insufficient for running longer than about 15 minutes. Coupled with the 7Kg weight, the Stacy was not a great commercial success.
