ComWriter III - a low cost screen based telex terminal. In the tradition of Transtel's successful ComWriter range, the ComWriter III offers you direct connection to the public telex network at an affordable price.
The Modular Approach Each component, from the easy to use keyboard/memory module to the fast compact printer, is designed to provide exactly the right features.
Direct Connection to Telex Gives you the impact and immediacy of live transmission, far from the uncertainty of 'electronic mail' systems.
Visual Display Unit The non-glare orange phosphor display, with horizontal and vertical tilt mechanism, is designed for maximum user comfort.
Ease of Use The keyboard looks, feels and operates like a standard electric typewriter. Communication and editing keys are clearly marked and have been grouped into functional areas.
Simplicity of Operation No trained operator is required to send a message on the ComWriter III. All you do is:- 1) Prepare the message simply by typing it in and watching it appear on the screen. Use the editing keys to correct mistakes. (You can prepare a message even while another message is being received). 2) Press the CALL key and key in the telex number. 3) Press RUN and your message is sent automatically. It's as simple as that.
If you have pressed the AUTO CLEAR key the terminal will automatically dear the call at the end of the message.
