This is a major revision of> and makes obsolete* GC26-3920-0» and
its technical newsletters* GN26-0953 and GN26-0977.
This edition applies to Release 1.6 of Data Facility Device
Support* Program Product 5740-AM7* as well as to Release 3.8 of ' '
0S/yS2 MVS* and to any subsequent releases until otherwise
indicated in new editions or technical newsletters.

This publication lists the messages produced by the IBM-supplied
utility programs that run under 0S/VS2. The causes oT messages are
explained' the accompanying actions by the operating system are
described/ and appropriate responses are suggested. The messages
are in alphameric order by message identification.
25 The tables at the beginning of this publication explain the codes
used throughout the book as part of problem determination. They
f describe the actions to be taken by the user before calling IBM
for programming or hardware support.
