Deadline is a text-reconstruction program which simulates the production of a local tourist guide. (An authoring program allows this scenario to be changed.) A wide range of language skills are therefore practised in planning and writing the guide. Used on a network, the program exploits the full interactive potential of the system, but it will run successfully on individual machines. Deadline is designed primarily for group work. This is part of the British Council Software Series.
