Universal Hero is an action arcade adventure that proved to be one of the titles that led to the budget label Mastertronic to be taken even more seriously in the industry. The quality of the game put many full price games to shame, and was a great mix of puzzle solving exploration and action. Scoring highly in the magazines of the time, although due to Mastertronic refusing to buy advertising space it did not get the highest accolades, for those who remember it, it has endured to be something of a cult classic. The Atari port would appear a full year after the other 8 bit versions
