The Prism Modem 1000 was a dial-up modem designed to connect home microcomputers such as the BBC Micro to Prestel and Micronet 800 viewdata services.

It featured a straightforward interface supporting V.23 (1200 bps download/75 bps upload), relying on a manual switch to control transmission direction, requiring users to physically toggle between “TX” and “RX” modes during a session.

Our modem has the original manual and box.
