This is a home console version of the arcade platform game released in 1981. The user moves Mario across platforms in order to ascend a construction site and rescue Pauline from the gorilla Donkey Kong. The player must avoid obstacles by jumping over them. The original arcade version was the first game in both the Donkey Kong and Mario franchises.
