This modern expansion board upgrades a BBC Master computer from Econet to the Ethernet networking standard. It features:

10Mbps or 100Mbps data transfers
Automatic detection of crossover cables allowing two computers to be directly connected without needing a switch or hub
Automatic negotiation of link options to minimise setup complexity
Automatic network address setup to minimise setup complexity
A total of 76kbyte of RAM for packet buffers to speed up transfers
1kbyte of non volatile memory to save the network configuration
Interoperates with IEEE 802.3af PoE switches for networks supporting the power over ethernet standard
