Computing Manual (University of Wisconsin, 1952)

This manual was used in University of Wisconsin courses and it dates from 1952, making it one of the oldest such documents in our collection.

From the preface:

'With the rapid growth of separate computing installations in industry and in universities, there is need for a book to help train machine computers.  This book is intended as such an aid, particularly in training personnel for work in (IBM) punched card computing.'
