The first computing journal is published

In January 1943, Mathematical Tables and Other Aids to Computation (MTAC), the world’s first computing journal, begins publication.

Published by the American Mathematical Society, the journal reported on the new developments of electromechanical and electronic "aids to computation".

By 1960, the journal changed its name to Mathematics of Computation.
