Command & Conquer Generals - Deluxe Edition
This is the seventh in the series of long running real time strategy Command and Conquer games, keeping the gameplay of the series largely the same, gaining resources and building up forces and bases, training them before taking on the enemy.
The landscape can be terraformed, road systems built, and there is even a flora tool.
The game was banned in both China and Germany, the plot set the USA as Allies against an organisation trying to rid the world of global powers, the Chinese objected to the games portrayl of the heavy handed tactics of their forces, particularly in destroying landmarks in Hong Kong, and their liberal use of nuclear weapons.
In Germany the game was restricted and then banned by the Fedral Dept for Media Harmful to Young People, who fely it glorified violence, and would allow youngsters to partake in the upcoming war in Iraq.
A sequel was planned and then cancelled, when it was changed to an online MMO, which during testing was very negatively received.
