60635 STC Tape Converter/Reconverter 'blueprint', LEO I

Photograph of 'blueprint' produced by STC for their magnetic tape equipment intended for use on LEO I, as designed by Esmond Wright in 1949. As Peter Bird notes in his caption, 'the device was abandoned, after unsuccessful trials, in 1953'.
