Telex received through the exchange at Cadby Hall concerning attempts to expedite recruitment of an unnamed employee for LEO Computers in  South Africa:

'Received following telegram from Hopewell "I have interviewed Minister Naude this afternoon who has promised to expedite. Essential London satisfy South Africa House that police report given as soon as possible that applicant not communist and has clean record. If police report satisfactory Minister will expedite passport. Advise you cable and advise name of officer seen at South Africa House. London may advise High Commissioner personally that I have seen Minister Naude if considered necessary"  Please cable name of officer handling case South Africa House'.

Annotated in pencil with names 'Mr Rice' and 'Mr G. Kemsley' [sp?], date stamped by Cadby Hall exchange on reverse as 18th May [1960?].
