The Eicon DisCache was a high-speed, networked hard disk drive, available for NEC, Apple, and IBM personal computers.

It offered high performance by using a built-in RAM cache, greatly reducing access times. For data protection, it included an incremental backup system capable of securely backing up a 10 MB Winchester disk in under a minute. In addition, DisCache featured a built-in 1 MB print spool with Centronics or RS232C printer interfaces, managed by its own processor in the background for added convenience.

The Eicon DisCache was developed and marketed by Eicon Research Ltd. of Bar Hill, Cambridge.
