Space Scuffle - Friday 2nd August 2024
Description : Your starship is travelling through space, gaining points by recovering and recycling space debris. Meanwhile enemy starships try to collide with you. You must gather as much debris as you can to gain maximum points before enemy starships steal all your health and destroy you! In this workshop, we will show you how to create a fun space game using the programming language BBC Basic on a 40-year old BBC Micro. This workshop is ideal for those aged 11 and older, ideal for those at upper KS2 and KS3 level. The fee is £20 per participant in this workshop and tickets include admission to the museum all day. For participants aged 14 or under, we require an accompanying adult to attend the workshop alongside them. Accompanying adult tickets can be purchased for the normal museum entry price of £12 and include entry all day. Date: Friday 2nd August 2024 This workshop will start at 11 am promptly, so please arrive at least 15 minutes early. Although the event booking is for a specific time, entry to the Centre is permitted all day. The Centre is open from 10am. Snacks will be available from our Pac-Lunch Shop. There's plenty of seating for parents :) Spaces for these exciting hands-on events are limited, so booking is required to ensure your place. Payment is taken by PayPal immediately. Please print a copy of the receipt that is displayed at the end of the payment process and bring it with you as your e-ticket. Cancellations: Due to the limited number of places available for this event, we are unable to refund tickets when cancelled less than 7 days before the event.
