Made in Cambridge Tour - Thursday 6th August 2025
Description : The museum has about 44,000 items in its collection. All are important to us, but some have extra special tales to tell. For this short tour, we are exploring the Cambridge story. Our collection includes some of the city's rich heritage, from parts of EDSAC, the University's first computer, to early versions of the Raspberry Pi. We'll revisit old favourites such as Sinclair and Acorn machines, and learn about some of the more surprising exhibits that have their roots in Cambridge. Join us as we take a look back at Cambridge's computing past.
The tour is free (although museum entry charges apply - £12 for adults, £8 for children, £10 for concessions and students, £25 for a family ticket of one adult and two children, and £32 for a family ticket of two adults and two children). The ticket includes entry to the museum for the whole day. Please note that children aged 14 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Date: Wednesday 6th August 2025 The tour will start at 2 pm promptly, so please arrive at least 15 minutes early. Although the event booking is for a specific time, entry to the Centre is permitted all day. The Centre is open from 10am. Snacks will be available from our Pac-Lunch Shop. There's plenty of seating for parents :) Spaces for these exciting hands-on events are limited, so booking is required to ensure your place. Payment is taken by PayPal immediately. Please print a copy of the receipt that is displayed at the end of the payment process and bring it with you as your e-ticket.
