How To Train Your micro:bit - Wednesday 18th February 2026
|
Description : With all this talk about machine learning, we thought we'd get our heads around it too! Come and join us as we teach a micro:bit to help us on a museum trail. We will be using the micro:bit CreateAI tool to teach the micro:bit to recognise some basic gestures and use it to 'wake up' some of the museum information boards! No previous experience is required, just an interest in making tech do cool things! The session is aimed at children aged 11 years and above and is ideal for Key Stage 3 students. This workshop session is priced at £16 per participant and includes entry to the museum all day! For participants aged 14 or under, we require an accompanying adult to attend the workshop alongside them. Accompanying adult tickets can be purchased for the normal museum entry price of £12 and include entry all day. Please note that we will be using our classroom kits for the session and you will not be able to take these away at the end. We will however have micro:bit kits available for sale in our shop to purchase. Date: Wednesday 18th February 2026
