Avye Couloute

Avye Couloute

Avye Couloute is an 18‑year‑old multi‑award‑winning tech maker and social entrepreneur who has become a leading young voice for diversity in computing. She founded Girls Into Coding at just 10 years old after noticing how few girls attended the coding workshops she was leading. Her goal has always been to ensure that girls have equal opportunities to explore, create, and innovate with technology.

Avye now delivers coding, robotics, physical computing, and 3D‑printing workshops to girls aged 10 - 14 across the UK and internationally. Her sessions emphasise hands‑on learning, giving participants the chance to build, experiment, problem‑solve, and develop both confidence and practical technical skills.

Her leadership and advocacy have earned her significant recognition, including the Diana Award, the Diana Legacy Award, and the FDM EveryWoman Tech Award (One to Watch). Alongside running workshops, she also fundraises to provide girls with tech kits and educational materials, helping to remove financial barriers to participation.

Avye’s work demonstrates the power of youth‑driven activism. Through her determination and creativity, she has inspired thousands of young people and shown how a new generation can lead meaningful change and help build a more inclusive future for computing.
