Copy That Floppy - Saturday 13th June 2026

Description : Got an old floppy disk gathering dust? Bring it back to life! The Centre for Computing History are hosting a floppy disk event where an experienced team will attempt to copy the data from your floppy disk onto a modern format. When: Saturday 13th of June 2026, 1pm-5pm Where: The Centre for Computing History, Cambridge We can handle most common floppy disk types (3-inch, 3.5-inch, 5.25-inch and 8-inch) and systems. Advance booking is recommended, depending on demand we may not be able to help you if you turn up on the day. Each attendee will be allocated a 30-minute time slot to ensure we can prepare the appropriate equipment and provide focused support. You are welcome to bring multiple disks; however, depending on complexity, we may not be able to process all items within your allocated time. If you can, please add in a note at checkout in our 'additional information' box to tell us a small description of what you're bringing, so we can be prepared to help you and make the most of your time slot! This is still a normal museum day - and tickets include all-day entry to our museum! We are open to the public from 10am - 5pm. Our museum offers free parking. We are accessible, wheelchair friendly, and have a disabled toilet that has a baby changing unit. Our Pac lunch shop will be open all day serving hot and cold drinks, and snacks. See you there! Payment is taken by PayPal. Please print a copy of the receipt that is displayed at the end of the payment process and bring it with you as your e-ticket.
