Crack the Code - Friday 24th July 2026
|
Description : We wanted to do a treasure hunt but all the clues are secret codes! Become a spy and help us 'crack' these secret messages. A secret way of writing messages is called a cipher and in this workshop we'll introduce you to a simple cipher called a Caesar cipher (named after the Roman general, Julius Caesar, who used it to send secret military messages!). You will construct a cipher wheel out of card and use this to 'break' secret messages to reveal the location of the hidden treasures. This workshop is aimed at children aged 7-9 years. This workshop session is priced at £21 and includes the admission price of 1 child with an accompanying adult to the museum! For participants aged 14 or under, we require an accompanying adult to attend the workshop alongside them. Date: Friday 24th July 2026
