This is a major revision of GC28-13S3-1. See the Summary of Amendments for a
summary of the changes made to this manual. Technical changes and or additions to the
text and illustrations are indicated by a vertical line to the left of the change.
This edition applies to Version 2 Release 2.0 and to all subsequent releases of
MYS/Syst' Product-JES2 (S740-XC6) until otherwise indicated in new editions or
Technical Newsletters. The previous edition still applies to the JES2 component of
MVS/System Product-JES2 Version 2.1.5 5740-XC6 (JES2 SP2.1.5) and may now be
ordered using the temporary order number GQ28-1353. Changes are made periodically
to the information herein; before using this publication in connection with the operation
of IBM systems, consult the latest IBM Systeml370 Bibliography, GC20-0(H)1, for the
editions that are applicable and current.

This book documents the messages issued by the JES2 component of the MVS/Extended Architecture operating system.

Who Should Use This Book
This book should be used by JES2 operators, JES2 system or applications programmers, or by
anyone who is responsible for controlling JES2 or diagnosing problems in JES2.
