We Want Your Stories!

Following on from the success of our 2017 Women in Computing festival we've made it an annual event in our calendar! Our 2018 festival celebrates Her Story: stories of women in the tech industries.

Her Story is an interactive exhibition celebrating women who live, breathe and work computing and tech, starting on 24 September 2018.

We are currently capturing stories for display (written documents, video clips, audio recordings, photographs, objects of interest or other creative media). The stories need not be a biography of an entire life or career; they could be an excerpt that is of particular interest, be around an item from a project to be proud of or perhaps something that inspired a woman to enter the field of technology.

Are you a woman who is working or has worked in the tech industry? Do you have a story to tell? We would like to hear from you. Please get in contact with us by email: wic2018@computinghistory.org.uk and one of the festival team will get back to you.

We're holding a filming day on 19 August 2018 for anyone who'd like to record a short piece of film telling their story. Email wic2018@computinghistory.org.uk to arrange a time.

The festival will include an interactive exhibition (included in standard museum admission price) as well as a series of events for the public, for schools and for teachers:
More events will be added soon!
