We're Hiring! Join Our Education Team

We're looking to build our small but dedicated education team.

The museum attracts between 1 and 3 school visits most weeks in term-time and we are looking for people who are flexible with their time and can help with these visits by teaching specific aspects of our pre-planned day.

School VisitsOur educational visits cater to children from primary, secondary and higher education levels. You would primarily be working with children from Key Stages 3 and 4.

You could be involved in our programming workshops, robotics talk, MegaProcessor demonstration, general and/or specific guided tours. You can read more about what we do during our educational visits here: http://www.computinghistory.org.uk/pages/42809/visiting-the-centre/.

We are looking for people with a bright and outgoing personality who have previous experience of working with children of all ages and can deliver activities in a fun and engaging way.

We will inform you of bookings as they are made so you can arrange your calendar. There will almost certainly be additional days when you could come in to the museum to prepare and training can be provided.

Pay will be at the rate of £13 per hour, paid monthly.

If this seems like an interesting opportunity to you, please get in touch. For an informal chat please contact Anjali Das or Lisa McGerty on 01223 214446.

To apply, please send a CV to Anjali Das, The Centre for Computing History, Rene Court, Cambridge CB1 3EW or via email to anjali@computinghistory.org.uk. Please indicate your preferred working hours in your application.

We have an on-going need for learning services staff so there is no closing date for applications. We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from all sections of the community.

The successful candidate may be subject to an enhanced disclosure from the Disclosure & Barring Service and appropriate references.
