Museum wins 2024 Tripadvisor Traveller’s Choice Award
Every year, the award celebrates attractions that consistently earn great reviews. Winners are chosen based on 12 months of reviews and ratings by real travellers, sharing real opinions and stories. The Centre has a four and a half star rating with reviewers praising its “interactive displays”, calling it a “must-see for techies and non-techies" alike. One visitor commented, “We only allowed 2 hours, but we could have spent double that time there and not been bored.” Feedback from a happy parent said, “I appreciated how hands-on the whole museum is with the children actively encouraged to touch and play. The kids had to be dragged away at the end. A real hidden gem!” "We are delighted our unique museum has been recognised as a top destination,” said Lisa McGerty, CEO at the Centre for Computing History. "We work hard to create an unforgettable visitor experience, offering hands-on exploration of how these powerful devices became part of our lives and changed our world in just 80 years. Our full calendar of summer events includes opportunities to try electronics soldering, explore tech designed in Cambridge, and even see a robot solve a Rubik’s cube – so we’re looking forward to welcoming lots more visitors!" "We’re grateful for all the support from the Cambridge community. Without vital support from sponsors and visitors we would not be enjoying this success.” “Congratulations to The Centre for Computing History on its recognition in Tripadvisor’s Travellers’ Choice Awards for 2024,” said John Boris, Chief Growth Officer at Tripadvisor. “Travellers’ Choice honours businesses that consistently demonstrate a commitment to hospitality excellence. This means you have made such a memorable impact on your visitors that many of them took the time to go online and leave a great review about their experience. People rely on Tripadvisor’s Travellers’ Choice seal to help them navigate the myriad of things to see, eat and do across the globe. We hope this recognition continues to drive business to you in 2024 and beyond.” Check out all the reviews and discover more about The Centre for Computing History here: The Centre for Computing History - All You Need to Know BEFORE You Go (2024) (tripadvisor.com) or visit www.computinghistory.org.uk Notes for Editors: The Centre for Computing History is a charitable heritage organisation with a strong focus on learning.
