Evercade
Evercade is a brand by the British company Blaze, who for years had been producing licensed stand alone consoles such as their Blaze Mega Drive with built in Sega titles.
They also produced the Neo Geo X, a close copy of the famed home arcade system, the AES, and also the Game Gadget, a download only console, which was billed as the iPod of gaming, but no downloadable games past the launch titles were ever released.
Evercade became available in May 2020 as a handheld gaming console, released with numbered carts, with licensed titles on, from the like of Atari, Namco and Piko, mainly arcade types, Blaze learned every lesson from the Game Gadget and Evercade has become a top brand for them.
The amount of titles on the carts varied greatly from 4 to 12 or more. The games library has grown to include Home Computer games and full arcade titles, leading up to the Playstation and Saturn Era.
Evercade has become popular with collectors, as all the carts are numbered, and only available for a short time, the consoles also keep track of how many titles have been played in the machine, and show which ones are missing.
More Models have been released, featruing more features, such as a downloadable game a month, and the ability to upgrade their firmware.
A home system, and more pocket sized machines have been released onto the market, and also a mini sized arcade cab that also takes the cartridges, this is called the Evercade Alpha.
