Samsung introduced the PenMaster, their first tablet, in 1992. It had a beautifully designed case and was based around the Intel i386SL processor. It ran Microsoft's newly released Windows for Pen Computing OS and used a Wacom chipset for the touchscreen software, which paired with a battery-operated pen.

The device, in a slightly different body, was also sold as the GRiDPad SL.

The example in our collection is Model 386L/20 with 4MB RAM and a 120mB hard drive. It was very kindly donated by Peter Simpson together with a 60mB version for spares.
