Corporate Venue Hire

 

The Centre for Computing History in Cambridge offers a unique venue experience combining business with pleasure for all corporate and private events. Its exhibition spaces, within an environment dedicated to technical discovery, provide a distinctive backdrop for parties and celebrations.

Both the Main Gallery and Hauser Studio are available to hire for corporate events including conferences, receptions, product launches, team-building workshops, training days, board meetings and press briefings. These facilities are also available for private celebrations. From guided tours to gallery-related character actors (subject to staff availability), we can pull together the right ingredients for a truly memorable event.

The Hauser Studio

The Hauser Studio is a fully carpeted room that can be completely isolated and closed off from the Foyer making it ideal for private functions and presentations. Facilities include a Digital Projector and Sound System.

The Main Gallery

The Main Gallery is a large, flexible space that houses our permanent exhibition - Odyssey. The central area allows us to accommodate up to 120 people seated theatre style for presentations and conferences. This area can also be used for business exhibition purposes.

Conference and Meeting Rates Per Person (based on minimum 20 Persons) - from 1st December 2023

Full Day Rate - £55.00 pp (+ VAT)

Price Includes:

  • Morning Coffee and Afternoon Tea (including pastries and biscuits)
  • Lunch (sandwich buffet)
  • Hauser Studio (conference pads and pencils, mints and fruit cordials)
  • Standard audio visual equipment
  • Wireless Connection
  • Based on 10:00am – 5:00pm

Half Day Rate - £45.00 pp (+ VAT)

Price Includes:

  • Morning Coffee or Afternoon Tea (including pastries or biscuits)
  • Lunch (sandwich buffet)
  • Hauser Studio (conference pads and pencils, water)
  • Standard audio visual equipment
  • Wireless Connection
  • Based on 10:00am – 2:00pm or 1:00pm – 5:00pm (variations available)

120 people seated ('theatre style') or 140 people standing.

  • Digital projector (VGA and composite video inputs only)
  • (Projection is directly on to a white wall)
  • Core2 Duo computer with wireless keyboard
  • PA System with radio lapel microphones x 2 (£140 Extra)
  • Small stage units (8ft x 4ft x 1ft) (£40 each - 3 Available)
  • Mains sockets (20 available)

 

Room Only Hire Charges

Want to just hire the space and do the other bits yourself... no problem, here are our charges for room only hire:

Hauser Studio

  • 10:00am – 5:00pm From £150+VAT per hour (Wednesday to Friday)
  • Minimum booking of 2 hours.
  • The Hauser Studio can not be booked for weekend day times.

Main Gallery

  • 5:00pm – 11.00pm From £350.00+VAT per hour (All Week - minimum 4 hours)

Entire Museum (Mondays & Tuesdays Only)

  • Half Day (4 Hours) - £900+VAT
  • Full Day (8 Hours - 9am to 5pm) - £1500+VAT
  • Additional Evening Hours (5pm to 11pm) - Add £350+VAT per hour

 

Additional Services

Guided Tour - Tours may be subject to staff availability.  A cost of £100+VAT per tour with a maximum limit of 25 people per tour group.  One choice from 3 types of tour on offer - History of Computing, Technical or Gaming.  Please enquire for further information.

Front of House Staff - We can provide staff to look after your delegates at a sign-in desk. You will need to supply a delegate list, badges and lanyards. Front of house staff are available at a rate of £25 per hour, per person.

Additional Catering - For events that require more than the standard tea, coffee and finger buffet, we are able to offer a range of catering options. Please contact us with your requirements for a quotation.

Videography - If you would like your presentation captured on video we can arrange to do so, subject to staff availability. The price per hour is quoted on request. The footage will be supplied to you in an un-edited digital format for use as you see fit.
