The Serial Port MIDI Interface allowed a user to send and receive Midi data via an acorn Archimedes computer's Econet socket. It consisted of a cable with separate Midi in and out connectors (distinguished by a white band with a letter "O" on it on the output lead) and an expansion card. The expansion card used an ST Microelectronics EF68B50P chip.
