Sanco 7000 also labelled as Memory 7000.

This was manufactured by Logic Systems International Inc and was manufactured in Japan. Probably manufactured in 1979 and had two 8-inch floppy disk drives.

Sanco produced a long line of computers in association with the Japanese fledgling company Logic Systems international, after a previous relationship with Sanyo, the 7000 was labelled as the Memory 7000.

The Computer is assembled around the Z80 processor, it has 32 KB of RAM expandable to 256K with a hard drive. The 12-inch monitor displays 25x80 in text mode, the keyboard was also the central unit and could connect to 2 optional 5 or 8 inch floppy drives, and a printer via an RS-232 or Centronics interface. The computer offered the possibility of a multi-extension network for the 7500 model.

The computer came with BASIC interpreter 4.45 from Microsoft, it could also receive KBasic. Some versions were marketed in the UK by Computer Memory. The machine sold around 3,500 units.

We have two units which have been very kindly donated by the Bangor Cash Register Company Ltd of Bangor, Gwynedd, North Wales, who bought it it by way of trade circa 1982.
