Ian Bell

Ian Bell

Ian Bell is best known for designing and developing the seminal computer game 'Elite' in 1984.
Together with David Braben, they developed the game whilst still undergraduates at Jesus College, Cambridge. The game was released bu Acornsoft for the BBC Micro and it became widely regarded as the first in a new genre of  computer games.
