Palm IIIe Special Edition

The palm IIIe was a cheaper, cut-down version of the Palm IIIx. It shared the 2MB RAM, 16MHz Motorola DragonBall EZ processor, and reverse-electroluminescent screen of it's predecessor, but shipped with the Palm OS in a fixed ROM. The IIIe is the only Palm device lacking the ability to flash-upgrade the operating system. The Special Edition was released shortly after the IIIe and featured a translucent clear case.
