External modem for the BBC Micro computer.

The Magic Modem allowed the BBC Micro to connect to online services via a telephone line. The modem plugged into the BBC Micro’s serial port and dialed out over the phone line. Some units featured an auto-answer board, allowing them to receive incoming data calls.

The Magic Modem was originally made by Kirk Automation of Cinderford, and then by Anglo Computers of Aberystwyth. The modem was sold through Watford Electronics.
