Microsoft Mouse & Windows 286
Box contains a Microsoft mouse and PS/2 interface, a copy of Windows 286, PC Paintbrush for Windows, with support for OS/2 Systems.
Windows 2.1 or Windows 286 as it was marketed was designed to take advantage of the features of Intel's 80286 processor, for instance using the High Memory Area to increase the amount of memory to the Windows program.
Despite it's name the program could also be used with the earlier 8088 or 8086 processors, bu could not use the HMA, as it did not exist on those chipsets.
Microsoft supported the program for 12 years until 31st December 2001.
