**FULLY BOOKED**Learn to Code with BBC micro:bit - 28 October 2016
Description : The BBC Micro:bit is here! This tiny computer is being handed out to Year 7 students to encourage them to get into coding and computing. Our workshop will help to inspire you with ideas and give you a little knowledge of what the micro:bit is capable of. We will explore the web-based coding environment and the various programming editors offered by the micro:bit. We will use the on-board LED display, push buttons, accelerometer and ring connector to look at how we can write simple programs to interact with the physical world! You don't need to worry about bringing anything - we'll provide all the kit. The fee is £12 for workshop participants, whether an adult or a child. Accompanying adults are charged our standard entry fee of £8. Please note that all under 14's must be accompanied by a responsible adult. If you have already booked an accompanying adult ticket for another event on this day, you do not need to book another one for this event.
Although the booking is for a specific time slot, entry to the Centre is permitted all day. The Centre is open from 10am to 5pm. Tea, coffee and snacks will be available from our Pac Lunch Shop. And, plenty of seating for parents :) Date : 28 October 2016 Places are limited. Tickets must be booked in advance. Payment is taken by PayPal immediately. Please print a copy of the receipt that is displayed at the end of the payment process and bring it with you as your e-ticket.
