Disco Lights - Friday 26th July 2019
Description : In this hands-on workshop, we will be programming a small array of LEDs to produce many different lighting effects using a microcontroller and some clever MicroPython code. We will teach you how to install MicroPython and start writing code to control the LEDs. Participants will then come together in groups to produce a larger LED display of lights.
No electronics experience is required although you will need a steady hand to assemble the components and use our tools. This is a great workshop aimed at children aged from 12 upwards and is ideal for children at KS3 and KS4 levels. All under 14's must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
This workshop session is priced at £28 per participant and includes the cost of the kit and entry to the museum! For participants under the age of 14, we require an accompanying adult to attend the workshop alongside them. Accompanying adult tickets can be purchased for the normal museum entry price of £9. Date
