The Curators Tour - Wednesday 7th August 2019
Description : Join Harriet and Adrian from our Collections Team in a special tour around the Museum that will focus on the care and preservation of the items in our collection.
As a museum our role is to preserve the objects in our collection for the future. This tour will give you an insight into how we do this by looking at a number of objects on display. We will talk about how we look after our working objects such as the Elliott 903, our oldest working computer, and the special materials we use to clean objects to museum standards. The tour lasts around 1 hour and provides an exclusive opportunity to learn from our very own experts. There will be a chance to ask any questions at the end of the tour.
The tour is free (although museum entry charges apply - £9 for adults, £6 for children, £7 for concessions and students, and £26 for a family ticket of two adults and two children). The tour is not unsuitable for children, but is aimed towards adults. The tour starts at 11a
Tea, coffee and snacks will be available from our Pac Lunch Shop. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Remember - All proceeds go to support our Computing Museum! |
