SnowPi Workshop - Saturday 21st December 2019
Description : Attention all tinkerers! Do you want to build a snowman? Doesn’t have to be a snowman. But it does because this is our SnowPi workshop. In this engaging session we will be putting together a SnowPi snowman, connecting him to a Raspberry Pi and putting our coding skills to the test to control the lights on our little Christmas buddy. We will be practising our soldering skills and our coding skills in the same session. A great introduction to the skills needed to create your own programmable electronic devices. We have all the tools required to make it, just come along and enjoy the creativity of making your own electronic circuit and controlling it through a python script. Perhaps give it as a Christmas present or put it on display in your bedroom! No electronics or coding experience is required although you will need a steady hand. This is a great workshop aimed at children aged from eight upwards. All under 14's must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Spaces are limited for this hands-on session, so booking is required to ensure your place.
The fee is £35 per participant in this workshop. This includes your Raspberry Pi Zero, Snowman, and accessories! For participants under the age of 14, we require an accompanying adult to attend the workshop alongside them. Accompanying adult tickets can be purchased for the normal museum entry price of £9. Although the booking is for a specific time slot, entry to the Centre is permitted all day. The Centre is open from 10am to 5pm. Tea, coffee and snacks will be available from our Pac Lunch Shop.
Payment is taken by PayPal immediately. Please print a copy of the receipt that is displayed at the end of the payment process and bring it with you as your e-ticket. Remember - All proceeds go to support our Computing Museum! |
