Description :

Come along to this fun workshop and learn how to create the beginnings of an intruder alarm! This will help to protect your bedrooms from being invaded by parents and siblings!

Part of Cambridge Science Festival

We will be using the Scratch programming language on a Raspberry Pi to control a Pibrella 'hat' that will sit on the Raspberry Pi. We will start by flashing the LEDs on the Pibrella and then continue to add a buzzer and a tripwire to create a basic intruder alarm!

The session is aimed at children aged 8+ and is ideal for Key Stage 2 and early Key Stage 3 students.

The fee is £12 for workshop participants, whether an adult or a child.  Accompanying adults are charged our standard entry fee of £9. Please note that all under 14's must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Although the booking is for a specific time slot, entry to the Centre is permitted all day. The Centre is open from 10am to 5pm.

Tea, coffee and snacks will be available from our Pac Lunch Shop. There's plenty of seating for parents :)

Date: Thursday 12th March 2020
