Sega's First Console Touches Down

Releasing on the same day as the Nintendo Famicom, the console was made from off the shelf parts, so the library does not have a feel unlike using a Colecovision.

The system is interesting as it has home versions of Sega's arcade classics such as Flicky and versions of third party games such as H.E.R.O. and Hypersports.

Although not a massive success, the machine gave Sega the confidence to persevere, having eventual huge success with the Master System and Mega Drive
