DEC releases the PDP-9

Introduced in 1966, the PDP-9 was an 18-bit minicomputer built by DEC.

The machine was a successor to the PDP-7 minicomputer. The PDP-9 had roughly double the performance of the earlier machine.

A total of 445 PDP-9 machines were sold over its lifetime.
