DEC releases the PDP-10

Introduced in 1967, the PDP-10 was mainframe computer built by DEC.

The PDP-10 was bought by many universities, including Harvard, MIT, Stanford, and Carnegie Mellon University.

The PDP-10 is an important historical machine for several reasons. It was the first widely used timesharing system, and it was also important in the development of ARPANET, the predecessor to the internet.
