The game pioneered a new method of a new mouse-controlled golf swing named as Mouse Drive. It was swiftly folllowed up by The Golf Pro 2 just a year later, which was not well-received as it was not seen as enough of an advancement, despite the fact that The Golf Pro (1) actually began development in 1996.

Features St Mellion and Hilton Head as playable, real-life golf courses.
