Memo from Tony Barnes (LEO Programming) to D.T. Caminer and [Mr. Kirby (Statistical Office)] regarding sundry disparities observed by the Statistical Office for job P1/P3 w/e [week ending] 24th November 1951, which may have been caused by missing significant costings.

Research comments: This document refers to the Lyons Bakery valuations job. It is dated just one week prior to LEO I running the job successfully in its entirety for the first time (thus becoming the first commercial program ever run on an electronic computer). Due to the experimental nature of the computer and the program, the job was run simultaneously by Lyons clerks and any discrepancies were noted and costed. (LM)
