Paul Brainerd

The American Paul Brainerd (born 1947) initially a computer programmer,  co-founded the Aldus Corporation in 1984, he is reputed to have coined the term "desktop publishing“ (DTP).

He stepped down from his position of president and chief executive of Aldus in 1993, ten years after its founding. In 1995.

Brainerd founded the Brainerd Foundation, a small family foundation that provides innovative conservation  grants to Pacific Northwest USA  communities.
