Nintendo 64 Rumble Pak

The rumble Pak is first console accessory to provide a vibrating effect to the joypad to add to the gaming experience, so gunshots could be felt in shooting games, and bumps in the road would register as jolts in racing titles for example.

The peripheral plugs into the bottom of the joypad, meaning the game cartridge must have an internal battery to save progress, as the controller pak cannot be used as well.

The pak was first bundled with the title Lylat Wars (Starfox 64 outside Europe), before being supplied on its own. The device runs off two AAA batteries.
